Few of us know the whereabouts of Yeotmal. It’s a small city in Maharashtra about 700 km from Pune with a population of about 10 lakhs. The closest well known city to Yeotmal is Nagpur at a distance of about 150 kms.  Yeotmal known as “Yavat” in days of yore consists of a population of mainly a farming community and traders. It boasts of a large crop of cotton and is home to a large textile mill.
